BARRY CLARK, D.O.

Dr. Barry Clark , wife Janet, daughter Annalee moved to Tupelo having practiced 14 years in Florence South Carolina. I was 12 years in private practice and the last two years employed by a local hospital. I chose to seek private practice again and was honored to join the Orthopedic Institute in October 2018.

My education began at Augusta College in Augusta Georgia and transferred then to Medical College of Georgia in Augusta Georgia graduating in 1985 as a physician assistant. I practiced as a physician assistant for nine years both in the Washington DC area and then finally back home in Augusta Georgia working in the Veterans Hospital. At that point, I decided to return back to school and graduated in 1998 from the osteopathic medical school in Des Moines Iowa. I went on to internship in Grand Prairie Texas and residency in Fort Worth Texas at Fort Worth osteopathic hospital. I then entered in adult hip and knee reconstructive fellowship with the Texas hip and knee Center of Fort Worth. I am now board-certified in orthopedic surgery.

I am married 23 years to Janet Clark. I have an 18-year-old daughter Georgia Clark who is a freshman at Radford University and a 14-year-old daughter, Annalee Clark, who is in eighth grade at Guntown.

My specialty area of orthopedic practice is dealing with the adult hip and knee. I am trained in dealing with arthritis and complex deformities, knee arthroscopy, fractures about the hip and knee, revision of prior implants as well as placement of primary hip and knee arthroplasty utilizing a variety of lesser invasive techniques to maximize recovery and more rapidly return to function.

It is an honor to serve this community and we are proud to call Saltillo/ Tupelo home!
