Dr. Barry Clark, wife Janet, and daughter Annalee moved to Tupelo having practiced 14 years in Florence, South Carolina. For 12 years Dr. Clark had a private practice and the last two years in South Carolina he was employed by a local hospital. He chose to seek private practice again and was honored to join the Orthopedic Institute in 2018.
Dr. Clark’s education began at Augusta College in Augusta, Georgia and transferred to Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia graduating in 1985 as a physician assistant. He practiced as a physician assistant for nine years both in the Washington, DC area and then finally back home in Augusta, Georgia working for the Veteran’s Hospital. At that point, he decided to return back to school and graduated in 1998 from the Osteopathic Medical School in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Clark went on to internship in Grand Prairie, Texas and residency in Fort Worth, Texas at Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital. He then entered in adult hip and knee reconstructive fellowship with the Texas Hip and Knee Center of Fort Worth. He is now board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Clark is married to Janet Clark and they have two daughters, Georgia and Annalee. Georgia attends Radford University and Annalee attends school in Guntown.
Dr. Clark’s specialty area of orthopedics is the adult hip and knee. He is trained in arthritis and complex deformities, knee arthroscopy, fractures about the hip and knee, revision of prior implants as well as placement of primary hip and knee arthroplasty utilizing a variety of lesser invasive techniques to maximize recovery and more rapidly return to function.
